Lost River

This is a route compiled from two great route planners; Jeremiah Bishop and Chris Tank. I tweaked the end of the route to shorten it from it’s original super long and crazy affair and to send it through some fun, cutty stuff before re-entering Bryce Resort.

That being said, the Lost River ride is one of the premier gravel experiences I’ve had in the area. The long, steep climbs will crush you. The descents are fast and hairy. The sense of truly being out in the middle of nowhere is unrivaled. The terrain changes from familiar National Forest roads, to barren hillsides, abandoned farm towns and uncharted double track.

40mm wide or greater tires are recommended. The rutted out double track and rocky single track will be no fun on anything smaller.

It’s a long one! Bring a water filter and plenty of food. There are gas station resupply points at around mile 40, give or take.

Ask a punk for the secret path at mile 77. It’s worth it.
